The ACF Community is a network of 38 local groups – and counting! – from right across Australia. As we hit the halfway mark of this critical decade for solving the climate and extinction crisis, we must harness all of our power to engage the wider community and demand our next Parliament acts urgently.

What's the plan?

ACF has produced a National Agenda for Australia‘s Nature and Climate that lays out exactly what the next parliament must do to the solve the dual climate and extinction crisis.

- Protect nature: Stop the bulldozing of the bush

- Say yes to renewable energy: Power everything we can with clean, cheap energy from wind and sun.

- Say no to nuclear: Australia's future is renewable, not radioactive

- Say no to new coal and gas: No more green lights for big, climate-wrecking coal and gas polluters

What can ACF Community Groups do?

1. Make your love for nature and climate visible! You can order resources by emailing [email protected].

2. Let candidates know you care and will vote for nature and climate. You can take this pledge, which will notify your sitting MP that you have committed to voting for nature and climate.

3. Send MPs and candidates a copy of the National Agenda with a note about why you care.

4. Ask your friends, family and work mates to also pledge to vote for nature and climate. You can find a simple video here that shows you how these conversations might go

5. You can also use the community pulse as a tool for deep persuasive conversations and ask people to pledge to vote for nature and climate at stalls and events.

How will we support you?

In the new year we’ll be kick off a different rhythm to support our work getting to scale.

1. We’ve set up and will continue to update this Useful Guides page which has resources for using social media, meeting MPs and maximising ACF's digital tools like Supporterbase.

2. Attend a weekly briefing on Monday. Once a week, National Organising Manager Dan Scaysbrook with special guests will provide a 30-minute briefing on what’s happened in the last week and what’s coming up. Register to receive the zoom link and we’ll send you the recording. Our first briefing will be held on Monday Feb 3 at 1230pm - RSVP here.

3. Attend a weekly drop-in session to ask questions. Drop ins are informal spaces where you can ask questions, navigate challenges and make sure you have everything you need to be active in your community. This will be a space for questions and co-learning. Every second Friday at 12pm first on kicking of Feb 7 – RSVP here. Every second Tuesday at 6.30pm (replacing the regular webinar) with the first on February 11 RSVP here and we’ll send you a Zoom link and reminder.

4. As always, you can also reach out via email at [email protected] or through the slack help desk.

While ACF engages in elections: any activities that happen in the lead up to the election is not an election campaign, just the continuation of our everyday work in which our primary purpose is – to advocate for a better world for all living things.
