Shine a light for the reef – volunteer briefing Melb

Thanks for signing up to volunteer for the Shine a light for the reef snap actions. With the help of volunteers like you, we can really make these actions sing!

Join us for a volunteer briefing on Monday 29th August from 6-8pm to find out what’s involved.

We don’t know when the court will make its decision on our case challenging the federal government’s approval of Adani’s Carmichael coal mine but it should be soon. And we want to be ready!

In Melbourne and Brisbane, we’re bringing hundreds of people together to Shine a light for the reef and send a message to our new government – Australians want a healthy reef, not more polluting coal.

You can help promote the actions by leafletting and postering before the event and by being a marshal on the day.

Marshals help the actions run smoothly by coordinating the crowd and making sure people are safe and having a good time.

Never volunteered before? No problem. We'll give you all the info, training and support you need.

    Plus there will be pizza!
