ACF Brisbane Office in West End, Australia

Brisbane networks: Talking to your MP

Come join us and learn how to change the script

Australia’s environment laws are far too weak to protect against this vicious cycle of pollution, profit and political influence. That’s why we’re breaking the cycle. We’re organising people to stand up to organised money and vested interests.

Our elected representatives often choose to put the profits of polluters, like Adani, before the best interests of the community and the future of our reefs, rivers, forests and wildlife.

Learn how to tell your story to your MP. How to talk about why you care, and how you are a part of a movement of people committed to saving the Reef.

    We will have:

    • Experts sharing how to tell your story
    • Script a conversation on our own
    • Give you training in advocacy conversation
    • Pot luck dinner

Whether you are new or a regular volunteer, come to this workshop to learn about how to build our community for change!

Can't come? Sign up to have a Brisbane organiser give you a ring to help you prepare for your call.

Eastern Enviro Hub in Mitcham, Australia

    Community training eastern suburbs

    Hi all,

Jane and I have been developing a training on group skills - facilitation, group structure and so on.

It looks like the best day for us is this Saturday - since that's very short notice this is just a quick check to see how many could make it!

If it's too hard for too many we'll schedule it for later, but it would be nice to do it sooner if people are free.

RSVP here if you can make it!

    Cheers,
    Mike

    Moore Park in Indooroopilly, Australia

    Forest action day

Will you join us for our local action initiative at Moore Park in Indooroopilly on Saturday 8 October from 8.30 to 12.00?

Together, we’ll help replenish parts of Moore Park while learning all about this local place and the important work the Moore Park Bushcare Alliance has been doing here over the past 15 years. Then enjoy a free BBQ!

It’s a great way to meet some locals, connect and get more involved in the work we’re doing across Ryan to stand up for nature and grow a strong and unified community voice for positive action.

    Please RSVP!
