Together, let's turn out big crowds and make our demands to the Australian Government loud and clear:
- No more coal and gas
- No more handouts to big coal and gas polluters, and
- deliver strong new nature laws that actually protect our wildlife from climate destruction.
We’re partnering with our friends at Move Beyond Coal, Australian Youth Climate Coalition, 350.org and GetUp! to convey a clear message to the Albanese Government: no more coal and gas.
Together we’re aiming to turn out enormous crowds of people speaking up for the climate – more than we’ve seen in years! With a federal election expected next year, and climate destruction getting worse, Rise Up is our moment to show the government just how powerful our movement for climate action is.

- Rise Up Sydney: Wednesday 8 May at 10am outside Kirribilli House, 109 Kirribilli Avenue, Kirribilli, 2061. Hosted by Move Beyond Coal, 350.org and Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
- Rise Up Perth: Thursday 9 May at 11am outside Madeleine King’s office (Minister for Resources), 1-3 Kent St, Rockingham, WA, 6168. Hosted by Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
- Rise Up Melbourne: Thursday 9 May at 12pm at Melbourne Commonwealth Parliament Offices, 4 Treasury Place, East Melbourne, 4002. Hosted by 350.org.
- Rise Up Canberra: Friday 10 May at 12pm Parliament House Lawns, Parliament Drive, Canberra, 2600. Hosted by 350.org
When hundreds, or even thousands of us take to the streets in this coordinated wave of action, we will loudly convey a message that the Albanese Government cannot ignore!
Our country can be a world leader in renewable know-how! We've had some recent wins, like the announcement of the Albanese Government’s $1 billion Solar SunShot program to make more solar panels here in Australia.
But we need to see more action like this from our government. That's where Rise Up comes in.
