Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web.jpg

Palm cockatoos are pretty incredible birds.

To woo lady palm cockatoos, males make drumsticks from branches and seed pods and beat their own rhythms while whooping and flapping their wings. Their rosy cheeks glow vibrant red when they’re excited.

But bulldozers are making them vulnerable to extinction. This cannot go on.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Once a animal becomes extinct, you can’t bring them back. We need to protect them and save them before it’s too late!

We need stronger environmental laws simply because species are gone they are gone…and we don’t know the impact of that in the future.

We now more than ever need strong National environment laws to protect our wonderful eco system. Our land and our unique wild life is what makes us Australians special.
Don’t let us lose another species to bulldozing in wild land clearings.
We still have time to stop this destruction and loss but we must have much stronger laws. Stronger laws for our unique species of flora & fauna plus a legacy for our children’s children is wanted now.

Our native animals and birds are endangered. Help us save them

Losing a species, no matter how seemingly insignificant it may be is a serious matter. Each species (us people included) is part of the ecosystem that is the earth. Each is linked to others, mostly in ways we don’t understand. Losing one species can easily – and has done – lead to a chain of losses and serious environmental problems. We must not put ourselves and our pecuniary goals above and apart from the world around us, including the palm cockatoos, gliders, whales, and other creatures whose survival is at risk.

Australia is a beautiful Country, and how lovely to explore our rain forests, our Coast lines, our rivers is a wonderful memory of what Australia is – and then to view our beautiful birds, and what Australia is known for is also a gift. Please take care of our environment – when 1 thing goes another is destroyed – keep our land beautiful.

It is our duty to protect the wild animals that are part of the environment. Greed and destruction of wild animals and birds habitat continues unabated. It is abhorrent that consecutive governments have such an dismal record in protecting wildlife and birds. You should all be ashamed of how you have allowed the logging companies to ride gunshot over any limited protection laws and do as they please with your consent.
Stop the logging, stop the logging.

We do not just need stronger laws, we need the willingness to implement them. We are on the edge of a great extinction event & on the tipping point for accelerated global warming. Humanity cannot escape the consequences of our actions if we continue along this path.
