Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web.jpg

Palm cockatoos are pretty incredible birds.

To woo lady palm cockatoos, males make drumsticks from branches and seed pods and beat their own rhythms while whooping and flapping their wings. Their rosy cheeks glow vibrant red when they’re excited.

But bulldozers are making them vulnerable to extinction. This cannot go on.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

We MUST make stronger environmental laws!!! We are damaging our world daily and we need to look after it!!! We need to leave beauty for future generations to appreciate in life, not in books!!!

Just remember that we depend on the diversity of wildlife, not only for the beauty but really for the functioning of the world, there are so many details that we don’t know of that make it all function so well, it is always a bad idea to tamper with it.

Palm cockatoos are truly unique creatures. It is our guardianship responsibility to protect wildlife, fauna and their habitat. Please do not let more extinctions to occur due to apathy. Take action now to legislate for strong environmental laws to protect what is left. Extinction is forever. Thank you for your your considered attention and action.

It is essential that before granting logging permits Government agents firstly consult with environmental experts in order to assess possible risks to native birds and animals living in he area.

We need stronger environmental laws to protect beautiful native Australian animals. Please make sure that our laws protect our native fauna and flora from endangerment, extinction, and destruction.

Let’s work together to stop the needless extinction of our amazing fauna, so that future generations can marvel at their beauty. Also, so that nature can work at its optimum and eco systems can thrive.

Many pollies, especially the ironically-named “Conservatives”, regrettably care significantly more about corporate balance sheets & political hegemony than preserving our vital ecosystems & biosphere. We need & i want strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love, & earth needs. Please energetically advocate for this publicly & within your party… especially to your party leader.

Politicians & greedy industry have STILL not figured it out… Nature is a fine balance & every element is necessary. Don’t you people have children & grandchildren for heaven’s sake???

After all our beautiful animals are extinct, will it be our turn?
Margaret 2018-06-06 12:58:04 +1000
We have so many vulnerable wildlife in Australia and need strong national environmental laws to protect them and their habitat. Please speak to your party leader about these issues with a view to permanently protect our wildlife.

Humans are invading their homes, but they can’t speak up and can’t stop them. We have laws to protect humans, human lives, freedom. Why animals are any different? They deserve protection as much as we do! Please, make sure that our laws protect these innocent creatures and lets kill “money rule the world” habits!
Garry 2018-06-06 12:30:29 +1000
Destruction of our environment has to STOP! Humans don’t have the right to destroy everything for money. Please take a stand and protect our unique animals, birds and everything else that makes up the natural world before it is all gone forever.

We need stronger environmental laws because they are failing to protect Australia’s beautiful biodiversity. The onus is on the government to make changes!
Mariesa 2018-06-06 12:28:29 +1000
If we allow the continued destruction of critical habitat resulting in the extinction of so many species we will be the disgrace of the future. We will go down in history as the generation that failed to coexist peacefully and respectfully with our natural environment and, in our greed and disregard for consequence, denied our fellow inhabitants their right to exist

It makes me sad to think that Australia’s unique and distinct ecosystem is dying because humanity refuses to protect it. What will you do to fix it?

We would all find it very sad if future generations would not be able to see these amazing birds and all other threatened species due to wrong decisions being made. Let us all understand we all play a part.
