Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web.jpg

Palm cockatoos are pretty incredible birds.

To woo lady palm cockatoos, males make drumsticks from branches and seed pods and beat their own rhythms while whooping and flapping their wings. Their rosy cheeks glow vibrant red when they’re excited.

But bulldozers are making them vulnerable to extinction. This cannot go on.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Too many Australian native creatures have become extinct in the last hundred years. This must STOP. Commercial SO CALLED development by land clearing and mining must not take precedence over protection of native creatures.

We are standing by, talking about conservation and doing very little about it. The palm cockatoo is just one of our lovely birds slated for extinction if we don’t act NOW!

These beautiful birds are being pushed out of existence. Stop the logging and ruthless clearing before it’s too late.

Populations of a very beautiful, and immensely strong and smart cockatoo are at risk. We Australians are losing more wildlife than just about anyone due to habitat loss. Don’t let this happen on your watch.

I care about the Palm Cockatoo because it is a beautiful animal at the mercy of human actions. Only we can ensure the safety of this creature and we should be obliged to do so at the best of our ability. Please take this alert as a sign to create action against the disappearance of the Palm Cockatoo!

Dear Warren,

Palm cockatoos are pretty incredible birds.

To woo lady palm cockatoos, males make drumsticks from branches and seed pods and beat their own rhythms while whooping and flapping their wings. Their rosy cheeks glow vibrant red when they’re excited.

But bulldozers are making them vulnerable to extinction. This cannot go on.

Please help save them
