Communities across Australia are unifying under one banner for a week of action to gather with others who love nature. Help us show that we demand reforms to our (failing) national nature laws!

Our creatures are in trouble. Floods, fires and droughts fuelled by climate change are pushing our beloved plants and animals to extinction, and new building projects can put our unique creatures at risk. Over 2,000 Australian animals and plants are on the threatened species list and the list is growing.

ACF community members as well as members of local Conservation Councils, marine protection organisations, and environmental societies are all contributing to this movement for nature protection!

Every Community for Creatures event looks a bit different, but what you can be sure to expect is that you will:

  • Meet passionate and like-minded people from your local area, speaking up for a world where nature thrives.
  • Enjoy nature near you, with events taking place in parks, reserves and by waterways across the country.
  • Get creative by writing, drawing and painting a big Community for Creatures banner (see mock-up above) to be delivered to your federal Member of Parliament (MP).

By getting our communities together and creating messages urging action, we can show our MPs that we care about protecting and restoring nature – and want strong new laws now that ensure nature everywhere thrives.

I hope you will be part of this big week of action!
