Adelaide, SA: River Torrens Community Clean Up in Walkerville

ACF supporters are invited to join Walkerville Bushcarers, Walkerville Rotary Club and Steve Georganas MP, Federal Member for Adelaide and make a contribution to Cleaning up Australia. This is an opportunity to discuss the significance of our environment and any concerns you may have.

It will also be an opportunity to meet the Bushcarers who have been working for some years to return native plants to the the Linear Park between Ascot Avenue and Hackney Bridge. The revegetation and the cleanup all contribute to what will hopefully be a successful return to the Torrens for the platypus. In addition Walkerville Rotary Club has been propagating native plants at the councill Fuller St Depot for 30+ years. They stand ready to contribute to local revegetation efforts.

Bushcarers and Walkerville Rotary are happy for others to extend this initiative up and down the river.

Bags gloves and tongs will be provided but bring your own if you prefer.

The Watsons coffee shop has reopened as Faar Faar Away and we plan to reflect on our contribution and the future for the local environment over coffee after the Clean Up.
