Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

Carole Benham – How can you do this?! We are in a climate emergency!! This is an incredibly irresponsible decision please please think about the future generations and change your minds.

Adani mine – sure let’s contribute to more global warming!
I thought your company was more ethical than this

please change your mind and do not supply Adani Mine with rail signalling. Choose the planet over money.

You are choosing fear and the status quo over science and hope for a better more just future. The world is burning and helping Adani is like pouring gasoline on the flames.
Megan 2019-12-12 21:19:59 +1100
Don’t put short term profit ahead of action on climate change. What you intend doing with Adani is unforgivable.
Michelle 2019-12-12 21:16:21 +1100
Will not buy the Siemens dishwasher – I will find a more “green company”.
Katarina 2019-12-12 21:14:10 +1100
Shame on Siemens, choosing short term profits over long term sustainability – and then try and say they care about CO2 emissions.
Elizabeth 2019-12-12 21:12:46 +1100
The full environmental impact of Adani’s proposed mine is yet to be properly assessed, but the Qld Government has given it the okay, despite huge public opposition. Adani will put existing Australian coal mines out of operation earlier – and they are all being run down in anticipation of transition to non-renewable energy options. Coal is the past – non-renewables and new transport options are the future. Siemans would do well to preserve its reputation and engage with companies that are forward thinking and environmentally responsible.

I am appalled that Siemens has chosen to support Adani in its railway project. This is at a time when Australians are experiencing the real and escalating impacts of climate change with catastrophic drought and unprecedented bushfires ravaging our country.

It is not enough to say that our greenhouse gas emissions are insignificant in the global context. If the emissions generated by our coal exports are taken into account, Australia is one of the largest facilitators of greenhouse gas emissions in the world.

I implore you for the sake of our continent, its interconnected ecosystems, its inhabitants, human and non-human, and all future generations, to reverse your support of Adani.

Yours sincerely,
Glenys Fraser

Reconsider the decision to support the Adani mine, our future depend on carbon reduction.
Kay 2019-12-12 21:05:40 +1100
paula daly Siemens need to NOT BUILD THIS COAL MINE, ITS MAJORLY POLLUTIVE, affecting us all!!!!!
Paula 2019-12-12 21:04:15 +1100
Please reconsider your support of Adani. They have a terrible environmental and corporate record, and their proposed mine would be an environmental catastrophe for Australia!
Debbie 2019-12-12 21:00:02 +1100
I was appalled to learn that your company is prepared to assist with the Adani project in Queensland, Australia.

Please rescind this decision. This mine will significantly add to the human induced climate changed cause by the burning of fossil fuels.

I am prepared to do everything I can to have government agencies and corporations refuse to buy Siemens products

Yours sincerely,
Alan Hill

Appalled at Seimens’ decision to enable Adani’s planned coal mine in Australia’s Galilee Basin to become operational by agreeing to install the necessary rail signalling. Do you not realise that burning even a portion of the coal from that enterprise – anywhere in the world – will warm Earth’s already overheated atmosphere sufficiently to cause rising sea levels, frequent storm surges, and extreme weather events that will together render most of our planet uninhabitable within a few decades. Of what use will the profits from this undertaking (or any other) be to you then?

From your own website – live up to it!

“Decarbonization
Climate change is real. We therefore live up to our responsibility – with intelligent and sustainable solutions. In September 2015, Siemens has been the first global industrial company to commit towards carbon neutrality by 2030. Our Environmental Portfolio supports our customers to increase their competitiveness and to combat climate change.”

Why is a prestigious company like Siemens rioting its reputation helping Adani in time when the climate crisis is so relevant for everyone? It’s a very poor decision, it will cost Siemens much more than anything they expect to gain from a deal with Adani and his climate wrecking coal mine.
