Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

You can also click ‘like’ on other people’s comments to show your support.

You can give Siemens' offices a call and leave a message for their CEO and senior management!

We’ve pulled together a list of contact numbers and talking points to guide your conversation. Check them out, give Siemens a call and then use our report back form to let us know how your call went.

Your name is mud now. Linking with Adani shows you up as the sort of corporate citizen we don’t want in Australia. If I see your name on a product I’m thinking of buying I won’t be buying it.

Siemens will be known as a company that doesn’t care for anything other than profit!!
And certainly not about the type of world our children will inherit, or the people who are already suffering from climate change.
Ann 2019-12-12 18:57:54 +1100
Look to your inner child! I bet they don’t really want you to assist in ruining the special planet!
Emily 2019-12-12 18:57:46 +1100
It doesn’t matter what you say in your “spin” you are pivotal in one of the world’s worst sources of carbon emissions just for a quick buck. You have lost any good reputation you may have had.

This coal mine is not good for Queensland. This coal mine is not good for Australia. This coal mine is not good for the planet. Siemens has a good corporate citizen reputation. Why would you risk this positive community perception? For money? I suggest to you that will find your company on the wrong side of climate history if Siemens sign the contract.

working on Adani’s climate-wrecking’ Australia wrecking mine will crush your brand and reputation.

Dear Mr Kaeser, The Galilee Basin where Gautam Adani wants to build his Carmichael Mine is one of the biggest deposits of thermal coal on the planet.
Thermal coal is the single biggest cause of carbon emissions and therefore of global warming.
The coal in the Galilee Basin must stay in the ground if we are to have any chance of coping with predicted global warming levels.
How could you in good conscience sign a contract with, let alone associate your company with, someone like Gautam Adani.
Please reverse your decision and get out of this contract with Adani.

Today Siemens have proven they are willing to be part of the problem not the solution. Remove your support from the Adani mine, do the right thing for worlds young people.

This comment was posted against a number of posts on both Siemens Global and Siemens Australia. It was also sent as a personal message on both.

’So Siemens has said yes to working with Adani whilst pretending to be a socially responsible organisation (I do not think so!). I trust Siemens management will seriously regret that decision. 😭"

Without immediate and meaningful action to end our reliance on fossil fuels the world faces an environmental cataclysm. The social, economic and political upheaval will be immense. How dare Siemens pretend otherwise.

How appalling. Adani is a Farm wrecking project where water from farms is being taken by Adani as well as infrastructure which has already cut farms in half. Farmers are already struggling without this. It will also be a reef polluting project. How could you support such a thing?
Terry 2019-12-12 18:49:23 +1100
Bad decision that you will regret. You have just signed up with a totally non complaint company that Is proposing mining coal during a time of a “Climate Change” Emergency”.

Siemens say they actively support the transition to a more sustainable electricity generation mix. But in reality they are actively supporting the enormous new Adani coal mine, a terrible project which ethical and sensible companies will not touch with a barge-pole.
