Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

Let’s keep it simple. Another mine will destroy this planet even more. You and I and everyone you love, including your kids, grandkids and future generations will have nowhere to live if we don’t look after this place. Don’t think just because you have $$ you will escape. When this planet is pouring acid rain so much it burns you and you can’t breathe and your great grandkids or even grandkids can’t breathe and the food gives them cancers and kills them there will be nothing to do or save anyone. So stop now before its too late. You can pay millions to Mars even thinking you can escape it. Does anyone really want to go to Mars? Maybe a handful of adventurers or scientists but most of us just want a good meal, good company, fun, fresh air, the telly and a life. Here on earth! If you go with Adani YOU are taking that away from us all – including yourself.

disgusted to learn of your decision to enable Adani to continue with their accursed mine. Our country is aflame with the fires of hell and you fan then further: shame on you. You are complicit in the destruction of our country, our planet: shame on you. Like many others on these pages I’ve now read about your company’s past: your cruelty and greed spans generations: shame on you

I left three comments in succession as my thoughts developed from an analogy regarding the Holocaust that I put in my email to the global CEO. From that analogy i discovered that Siemens is documented as a company that profited from the Holocaust. So I’ve quite reasonably posited that they are now doing the same thing again.

1)
Supporting ‘a low carbon future’ whilst facilitating the Adani mine is akin to a rapist volunteering at a women’s shelter in expectation of fostering respect to conceal their criminal being. Your partnership with Adani marks you as a climate criminal, a water resource plunderer, a threatened species destroyer and a cultural liquidator. You have thrown your sustainability claims down the toilet. Even if Adani doesn’t go ahead, which is highly possible, your name is now dirt. And you now deserve every bit of that ignomy. Get into bed with turds and you’ll unavoidably be covered in shit. Your company is a disgrace.

2)
Siemens now participating in its second holocaust: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_involved_in_the_Holocaust

3)
Sorry, not just participating in – profiting from!

I am emphatic about saying NO to Adani ruining my homeland with its bad track record of environmental neglect for profit.

Siemens is proposing to help Adani open a new coal field in the Galilee basin in Australia, which is about the last thing the world needs at the moment.
This is the ethical equivalent of helping the Gestapo build railways.
So much for the warm fuzzy statement about Siemens being an ethical company that appear in company literature.
I suggest that Siemens should alter their claims about ethical conduct or preferably withdraw from helping Adani

Very disappointed that a company with such a strong record of responsibility, and originating from such an environmentally aware nation as Germany, should support the Adani mine in any way.

The world no longer wants to use coal as it is destroying our climate and our planet is becoming uninhabitable.

The future lies in renewable energy.

Adanis 68.923 acre Carmichael mine would be the largest in the world. A world that doesn’t want coal!

It would use 12.5 billion litres of water each year!

It will devastate the Great Barrier Reef!

Adani are known to be corrupt and careless regarding pollution standards

Stopping this mine going ahead is very important for Australia and indeed the world.

I beg you to disassociate yourself with Adani, and save your reputation.

I just let them know how bad they will look for committing to The Adani Coal Mine!! One of the biggest extension’s to the Galilee Basin in the world 🌍 climate change is already here with the fires burning for nearly 4 months non stop!!! I just let them know that I would be ashamed of myself if it was me involved with helping destroy our precious planet

With this reckless decision to support the construction in Queensland of a weapon of mass destruction (aka the Adani calm mine), the Siemens CEO and management team have openly declared themselves to be climate criminals. One day all such decision-makers will be held to account in the world’s courts, for crimes against humanity.

Dear Mr Kaeser

I am extremely disappointed that you as global CEO, and Siemens have decided to become complicit in Adani’s climate destroying project. Shame on you! Your descendants will surely hang their heads in shame at your failure. As the leader of a powerful global organization you have the opportunity and responsibility to make the world a better place for us all, including your own descendants. The damage caused by your decision to put profits ahead of people will be yours and Siemen’s legacy.

Yours sincerely,
Ashley Turner
