Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_SouthernBlueWhale.jpg

Southern blue whales are truly enormous. Their hearts are the size of a small car and their heartbeats can be detected 3 kilometres away. They sing to each other in our vast oceans, where their whale songs are like low rippling earthquakes.

But they’re threatened by chemical and sound pollution, habitat loss, fishing, and climate change.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Please – think deeply and carefully about our environment.
Survival of all species is bigger than todays politics and bigger than todays economic argument.
Please act responsibly to save these creatures for our children and your children.

STOP allowing these beautiful creatures to disappear.
STOP protecting greedy developers and ridiculous profits.
STOP and think that when these creatures have gone IT WILL BE FOREVER. This is very important to me and millions of Australians. Discuss this with your party leader and contribute to protective national environment legislation. Soon it will be too late and you will have been part of the destruction of these magnificent creatures. Take a stand, do the right thing, you do have the power to do this.

I want future generations to know these amazing and beautiful creatures first hand not from a book or video. They must be protected from chemical and sound pollution, habitat loss, fishing or climate damage. Please take action to protect their habitat otherwise we will lose them forever.

Our environment is our most precious asset which needs to be treated with care and respect. Please do all that you can to protect it. Exploiting the environment is no longer acceptable.

We need laws that will stop companies destroying these Southern Blue Whale’s habitat. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will give these creatures a voice. Soon it will be too late and you will have been part of the destruction of these magnificent creatures. Take a stand, do the right thing. Please…..you have the power to do this.

THANKYOU FOR STOPPING THE KILLING OF THESE MAJESTIC CREATURES.

THE LARGEST OF CREATURES, EATS THE SMALLEST KRILL.
HOW AMAZING IS THAT?

We fought for the southern ocean whale sanctuary in the 1990s, and won. So why is the Australian government allowing greedy corporations to destroy pristine waters on this planet, and harming these animals?

In early 2000s, scientific researchers, took deep water samples from the Great Australian Bight, and found literally hundres of previously UNKNOWN species. Creatures that could possibly hold clues to sustaining life on earth.

As someone else said, conservation and preservation is a no-brainer.
EVER BEEN WHALE WATCHING, EITHER FROM SHORE OR ON SEA?

THANKYOU FOR PROTECTING THESE ANIMALS. THANKYOU FOR BEING A FORCE FOR THE PLANET.
THANKYOU FOR CHOOSING LIFE OVER DEATH, AND NEED OVER GREED.
