Southern blue whales are truly enormous. Their hearts are the size of a small car and their heartbeats can be detected 3 kilometres away. They sing to each other in our vast oceans, where their whale songs are like low rippling earthquakes.
But they’re threatened by chemical and sound pollution, habitat loss, fishing, and climate change.

We need strong national environmental laws to protect our unique wildlife. Sadly the Liberal Party, through its gutting of the marine sanctuaries plan, has made it clear that it cares not one bit for our environment. Tim Winton in his article in the Sydney Morning Herald on 15 September 2017 described the Liberal Party gutting as “a nihilistic act of vandalism…A prime minister who once spoke feverishly of agility and excellence is now a champion of mediocrity.” A sorry indictment on the current government which has forgotten its past. Malcolm Fraser declared the Great Barrier Reef a marine park in 1975 and ended whaling in 1978. and the push for marine sanctuaries began with John Howard. Shame on the Liberal Party – you are modern day vandals to our precious environment.
I care about all animals. Extinction is avoidable and unforgivable
Please protect the beautiful animals in our care.
Strong environmental laws are absolutely necessary and as my MP it’s up to you to do something. Plastics, pollution, global warming…all are harming our environment and the creatures that live in it. Please use your position to enact laws that will protect animals that are on the edge of extinction.
Humans have a responsibility to protect other animals at risk.

We can’t lose any more species, please act to protect.
Please do what you can to protect endangered species. We have no right to destroy species due to greed. We need to protect all creatures for the ecosystem to work. We owe it to future generations. Thankyou
Please help protect our beautiful and endangered species from extinction before it is too late.
Whales face unprecedented threat from plastic pollution of their ocean home and Japanese whaling as well. Their numbers are falling rapidly, so I am asking you to support putting them on the critically endangered list
Whales are an important part of our oceans. These animals are incredible. Seeing them with my daughters from a short distance away is an experience they and I will never forget.

Imagine a world without this incredible creature?! I love Australia’s quirky and beautiful animals, and hope one day that I can giggle at them, watch them and enjoy them with my kids! Stronger nature laws are needed now. Stand up and represent me and what matters!
