Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_GreaterGlider.jpg

Greater gliders are pretty extraordinary.

These peaceful possums live in leaf-lined hollows and spend their nights foraging high up in the forest canopies. They can glide 100 meters between trees!

But over decades, armies of bulldozers have charged through our forests, knocking down their homes. This must stop.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Dear MP,
Please address this issue by providing laws that are simple, effective & enforceable for protecting endangered species & natural environments against extinction or destruction by all means.
Including but not limited to; exploitation by unscrupulous companies, introduced species (e.g. feral cats etc.),
insufficient allocations of government protected & managed zones & sanctuaries,
weak & improperly supervised, managed & monitored restoration of mining sites etc.
Thank you for your assistance protecting our nature & wildlife for future generations!

Kind regards,

Mason

Please stop decimating our native habitat for these animals and others that rely on the hollows in old growth trees to live in. Most of our wonderful wildlife live in these hollows, koalas, kookaburras and cockatoos, and many others.

We desperately need to strengthen our environmental protection laws.
There are far too many animals and plants in Australia on the threatened species lists and I believe we have one of the worlds highest extinction rates which is a very sad enditment on us.
It’s not too late….if we act NOW…., we can save many, so please work towards and vote for tougher environmental laws.
With thanks.

We need laws that will stop companies destroying precious creatures’ habitats. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will help start the recovery of the Environment. Laws that will give these creatures a voice!

Why don’t you earn the money the people of Australia pay you and protect the native species of Australia. Or are the loggers and frackers and coal mining corporations paying you more than we are?

Hello, we are close to losing the Greater Glider forever in Victoria. Many people don’t even know about this precious, unique animal, but I do, and I will make sure more people learn! Could you stop cutting down its forest habitat, please? Thank you!
