Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

Well done. You have put the almighty dollar before the climate wrecking Adani mine project even thought Queensland and New South Wales are in the midst of prolonged drought and huge bushfires together destroying hundreds of homes and farms.
You have put the water in the Great Artesian Basin at high risk of being polluted by Adani’s mine.
You have put The Great Barrier Reef at risk of even more damage from the huge coal carriers that will wind their way between the reefs to pick up and take away the climate wrecking coal.

Well done.

It was disappointing to learn that Siemens chose to provide the signalling equipment for the Adani mine railway line when all other suppliers declined.
The fact that your competitors chose not to supply the equipment surely told you something and it certainly tells me that your board is too focussed on profit rather than the future of your grandchildren.
In the end it is just one more unethical decision that should not surprise anyone who knows the history of Siemens in business.

No amount of greenwashing can hide the fact you’re assisting to massively ramp up CO2 emissions. The “stringent environmental approvals” the Adani Carmichael mine have “passed” are an absolute joke, you must be aware most governments environmental regulations are too weak, & that was for the problems we faced before, not taking into account the urgency of the current climate change situation we face. Support of major political parties who are beholden to corporate money & serve corporations & themselves, not the people. I will be badmouthing Siemens at every opportunity I get. Enjoy the view of the hell on earth you’re helping to create from inside the bubble of wealth you will no doubt be safe in.

Shame on you Siemens. Devastated that you link yourselves with this unwelcome, unpopular and discredited Adani group Stop involvement with Adani’s mine.

As an Australian of German heritage I am shocked that a company such as Siemens would trash its good name and reputation to support a climate wrecking coal mine.

Australia has been burning for months as a result of climate change. Siemens has the power to help fight against Adani’s plan for huge coal diggings here and destroy our communities further. Siememens cannot be ignorant of the consequences of that act. Don’t let Siemen’s name be polluted by becoming linked with that of Adani and the damage he continues to do.

Good one Joe,
half the country is burning because of Climate Change fed by fossil fuel exploitation. Your desire to profit from that is nothing less than blood money. Any product associated with your company is now on my black list and I’ll be persuading my friends and associates to do the same.

Merry Christmas
Yours sincerely,

I am astonished to learn that Siemens is supporting Adani’s coal mine!
I understood that your dream was to ‘make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable’
What hypocrisy!
Adani proposes a massive coal mine which will require billions of litres of precious water and the coal will be exported on huge tankers right through the world heritage Great Barrier Reef.
An unconscionable recipe for disaster!

As a Australian citizen I can only express, shock and dismay at Siemens involvement with the Adani Galilee Basin coal mine.

I was under the impression that Siemens was a forward looking, progressive company. Why on earth would Siemens become involved in this Climate wrecking venture??
We as a civilization are now plunging headlong into the sixth mass extinction brought on by a rapidly warming climate and now Siemens is involved in exacerbating this unfolding disaster.

Disgusting!

Australia is in the grip of unprecedented drought and fire-storms – Totally linked to greenhouse gas emissions.
Yesterday Sydney’s air quality was twelve times the maximum safe limit due to smoke pollution.

Worldwide, records are being set for temperatures both high and low, rainfall, ferocity of storms, unprecedented ice loss, etc, etc.

Globally we are heading into a massive disaster and now Siemens participation with Adani will only hasten this all the more!

So, so shortsighted!

Just disgusting.

So much for a progressive company.

Asking the CEO to co aider the sustainability of our resources and the effect that this decision could have on Siemens as a company given that a number of national companies have outright declined to work with Adani.
Nick 2019-12-12 18:36:37 +1100
I hope the company gets bad publicity throughout the world. You pretend to be environmentally friendly, well you have just proved you are not. Glad I don’t work for you. Disgusted.

How on earth did you manage to come to this decision? Presumably because the decision maker lives in Germany and not the beautiful land that is now burning uncontrollably at the beginning of summer!! This is devastating not only people but devastating the unique wildlife that are iconic to this amazing country. What more proof do you need of climate change???? These are unprecedented temperatures for the time of year. Do you really put profits above the lives of families and wildlife, is that what your company wants to be remembered for? Fossil fuels are named as such because they take millions of years to produce, they have nearly run out and are unsustainable. Your money would be much better spent investing in renewables, they are the only option. Mankind has done this much damage to the planet we all live on and the air we all breathe in just over 200 years, it’s time to say no to more pollution. This is already affecting the lives and lung growth of young children. This is a short term project that, once running, will only employ a 100 or so local people as it is automated. The only thing Adani worries about is lining its’ pockets at the expense of another country far away from their base. You have the opportunity, already taken by many other large corporations, to ensure the continuing safety of both Australia and its’ inhabitants. It’s time to search your collective conscienses.

If a desperate Al Capone walked into my office and told me that he needed my help to rob the city’s bank because no one else would and I was the last person on earth hat could help him achieve his crime, what would you advise me to do?

The first question I would ask is “Do we really Need to this deal”?

Second question would be “Will I suffer from not doing the deal when everyone else has said NO!”?

Well must question Siemens logic in their decision when know that Adani is Al Capone?

Now that Siemens has done the deal with Adani what are the shareholders and the general public meant believe in an environment of world wide corporate corruption involving politicians, CEOs and company boards.

At a time when Germany is a world leader in renewable energy, here in Australia a German company sees fit to assist the filthy Adani coal mine. When we get a decent Government back into Australia, I for one will be pushing to have all businesses that supported the Adani mine to be blacklisted and prevented from providing any services to the public sector. Your business is not wanted in Australia. Go home!
Malcolm 2019-12-12 18:35:02 +1100
Make your “dream” a reality: invest in sustainable industries, not polluting ones like Adani Australia. Combating climate change in the current crises being experienced in several countries globally requires concrete action, not PR, to reduce emissions.
