Queenslanders, our sunshine state has the tools and talent to become a renewable energy superpower – and shift away from digging and burning fossil fuels that drive climate impacts.
Ramping up climate solutions now will create long-term jobs in our regions, help restore our incredible forests and slash climate pollution this decade.
But we need to act now and not let the opportunity slip through our fingers.
Sign the petition. We need thousands of us calling on our state government to invest in making Queensland a climate and nature champion.
Working together, Queensland CAN!

We call upon the Queensland Government to:
-
Make our climate safe: Slash Queensland's climate pollution by at least half this decade; slash methane emissions from existing coal and gas infrastructure; ban new coal and gas infrastructure
-
Protect our nature: Establish an Environmental Protection Authority for Queensland; protect 100 hectares of Queensland forest this decade
-
Clean up our exports and create green jobs: Create a renewable-powered exports industry to replace coal and gas exports, with 100,000 climate-positive careers for communities; guarantee jobs for fossil fuel workers

The rest of Australia and the world are moving to clean energy sources. And If we want to go from climate laggards to leading the world in renewable energy, we need to get a move on!
Ramping up climate solutions like renewables now will create long-lasting jobs in our regions, help restore our incredible forests, wetlands and reefs, and slash climate pollution this decade.
I want Queensland to be a champion of climate change because we are the sunshine state – we CAN do this!
I want Queensland to be a climate and nature champion, because I like that state of Australia
Protect the environment for all Queenslanders and become a nature and climate champion.
I want Queensland to be a climate and nature champion because we are already seeing the damage we humans have done happening before our eyes around the world. We need to act now to stop and reverse the damage. We need hard core change and we need it now! Its time to switch from dirty power to renewable energy, it’s time to regenerate our native bushland and oceans. Most of all it time to stop animal agriculture.
It is we humans have caused the problems that the climate crisis has brought; it is thus up to us to do all that is possible to slow it down as much as possible. This is a beautiful planet and while people are suffering it is wildlife whose homes are being destroyed although they have caused none of the problems.
We must protect all ecosystems and biodiversity to protect ourselves
Children of today deserve a better tomorrow. Stop the reliance on destructive fossil fuels. Change to renewables now. Improve renewables to remove any negative effects of them.
