Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

Insanity, the new minister obviously has no concerns for the future of the reef only wealth for foreign companies.

Ecologically sustainable tourism will be Australia’s best commodity when polluting and non-sustainable industries are no longer viable, but if we continue to destroy the former for the sake of the latter we will be left destitute, dry and starving. Make the correct decision for Australia’s future and create a legal barrier to Adani and other giant polluters. We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.

Just what the world needs, more coal, more wastelands and more taxpayer expenses to clean up irreplaceable ecosystems. Whose pocket are you in ? Knowingly approving this mine is a crime against humanity and should be dealt with as such

I grew up near the great barrier reef. It is majestical. I want it to be there for my children, grand children, great grand children. Please don’t risk the reef long term future as it is now.

We can’t have this coal mine and maintain and restore the reef as well. Surely the choice is clear.
