Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

Lost for words. I’ve been signing petitions like this for almost 30 years. When will politicians wake up to the global problems we will all share, living on this planet together.

Foreign ownership of Australia’s resources undermines our sovereignty and economic independence. Our environment will be impacted with the most negative consequences so that foreign owned companies can obscenely increase their wealth. It is very worrying that the 1% can brush aside global concerns for climate change. Their monopoly game is played out on planet earth because they believe they can.
Please stop the pillaging of Australia. Step up into your role of being a representitive for Australia and her people and not for the corporations or for the bank of the United States Securities and Finance Commission.

Please make the right decision not to put our reef under any more stress, Australians now and in the future will thank you for it. This is one of the great wonders of our country and the world, please don’t mess it up.

As Environment Minister, I am asking you to protect our Great Barrier Reef by revoking the new coal mine and put good laws in place to prevent it ever being approved in the future. Our world environment needs protection from further pollution. You must be thrilled to be in a situation to do this.

This is a disgrace. The reef is under enough threat without this on top of it. Our government is all about the money. No wonder the majority of people hate politicians.

THIS IS JUST MADNESS! HOW CAN THIS STILL BE ON THE DISCUSSION PLAYE WHEN THE REEF IS ALREADY BLEACHING OUT??
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TOO THAT WHOLE BLOODY AIUSTRALIA VOTED THAT EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL GOVERNMENT AGAIN?

Schools should start teaching all children across Australia the awareness for their beautiful country and the luck to have such extremely beautiful piece of nature right next to them…
