To our elected representatives,
We call on you to work together to get big money out of our political system and put people back in.
This means:
- Banning large donations to political parties and candidates.
- Increasing the transparency of political donations, including real time reporting of donations.
- Limiting expenditure at election times so corporations can’t use their oversized wallets to drown out our voices.
- Creating an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
- Stronger lobbying regulation and greater transparency so we know who’s meeting with our elected representatives and why.

The future is not a 4 year term of office – for most of us it’s longer that. We need politicians that can think beyond the party. We need politicians with an attention span longer than 4 years.
So sick of big companies having undue influence over political processes/parties. It is so undemocratic and perverts our society.
Let’s have an end to the big donations from industry. All donations should be public as they are made!

Yes, clean up our politics. No huge donations from big companies.
Political donations need to be documented immediately they are made for public scrutiny. In fact no political donations should be accepted. In the lead up to an election a cap needs to be placed on all political spending and no money can come from the purse of the party or group in government. The “sports rorts” saga under the Morrison government or any other government for that matter should NEVER be allowed!!! Let’s have integrity back in politics.
