To our elected representatives,
We call on you to work together to get big money out of our political system and put people back in.
This means:
- Banning large donations to political parties and candidates.
- Increasing the transparency of political donations, including real time reporting of donations.
- Limiting expenditure at election times so corporations can’t use their oversized wallets to drown out our voices.
- Creating an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
- Stronger lobbying regulation and greater transparency so we know who’s meeting with our elected representatives and why.

These corrupting donations must stop
I was recently surprised to learn that Queensland had real time political donation disclosure. Our national system doesn’t!
Money entrenches coal and political bias in our system of governance. Ban donations over a small amount.
I think we should BAN donations to political parties altogether.
At election time, each political party would be allocated an equal amount of money from the public purse to run their campaign.
The term of government should be a fixed time frame (e.g. 4 years) .
Election Campaign spending should be capped as well & tax payer funded only All media by government for elections or any so called announcements only through ABC reporting, public debates &/or forums.
Stop kidding your self this is not going away by itself. You need to do something. Listen to the scientists not the self interested big money buddies
The Australian Goverment is not governing for Australia but for their mates and themselves. Look at the Sports Rorts funding. It is despicable. We need Government accountability and this is a way of starting that accountability.
We must all be aware of who’s putting money into the pockets of our elected reps
Our parliamentarians should represent us not represent bog money
