To our elected representatives,
We call on you to work together to get big money out of our political system and put people back in.
This means:
- Banning large donations to political parties and candidates.
- Increasing the transparency of political donations, including real time reporting of donations.
- Limiting expenditure at election times so corporations can’t use their oversized wallets to drown out our voices.
- Creating an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
- Stronger lobbying regulation and greater transparency so we know who’s meeting with our elected representatives and why.

There should be no donations from third parties
Taking donations from coal mining or gas companies is called a bribe. This invalidates the democratic nation you are supposed to be supporting and upholding. Both Labour and Liberal gave done this. How can an impartial decision be made if money is accepted in the form of donations from mining companies??? This is about power snd getting money to fuel proproganda…it is not about impartial decision making that supports best policy gor all australians. It shows ab Appalling lack of integrity and it unethical. Be leaders, be inspiring and be committed to responsible, transparent management. You are employed by the people to demonstrate fair and unbiased decisions. Accepting Bribes is a total contradiction of this.
It’s time these politicians started listening to the people. In fact it’s way PAST time. And if the PM thinks I"m going to be a “quiet Australia” about climate change he can think again.
