To our elected representatives,
We call on you to work together to get big money out of our political system and put people back in.
This means:
- Banning large donations to political parties and candidates.
- Increasing the transparency of political donations, including real time reporting of donations.
- Limiting expenditure at election times so corporations can’t use their oversized wallets to drown out our voices.
- Creating an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
- Stronger lobbying regulation and greater transparency so we know who’s meeting with our elected representatives and why.

We need politicians who are using their governmental power to do good for the country and all Australians , not politicians who cant seem to see past making money. Politicians who are greedy and unethical are so disappointing, can’t we do better?
We need real leadership in government, not just following the big bucks. At the moment our government is just a puppet for the fossil fuel (gas and coal) industry. This has to stop.
The love of money is the root of all evil, when Politician put money before the survival of the planet like they are doing now, we have a problem!!
Funding to political parties is not transparent. It is shrouded in secrecy and is open to corruption. Donations over $1000 must be declared at the time they are made. ALL donors must be named.
I want to live in a democracy not a plutocracy bordering on kleptocracy. Ending large corporate donations to political parties is the only way to restore peoples’ faith in our currently broken political system.

Unfortunately I despair of any decent politician who takes on board constituents feelings and opinions above the demands of big money donations
Secrecy plus money breeds corruption. A healthy democracy requires transparency and oversight.
We SHOULD be a democratic country where the will of the people is the business of Government
We are NOT
We have become riddled with corruption by big corporations who want to use OUR wealth to use it for THEIR wealth
Democracy should help and protect a Nation … not DESTROY it as we have just all experienced with the latest apocalypse… exacerbated by our Clime Change denial Government
WHY?
Because they were paid to betray their Citizens!
