Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_Numbat.jpg

Numbats have stolen our hearts! These adorable marsupials sleep in hollow fallen logs or burrows and eat 20,000 termites a day with their long sticky tongues. They don’t drink water – termites keep them hydrated.

Numbat families used to live from Victoria to WA, but because of habitat destruction, foxes and cats, now they cling to existence in just two places in the wild.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

We need to protect the animals we live among instead of standing by and watching them get destroyed, and destroying them ourselves.

All our animals were put on this earth for a reason – a purpose – therefore it is OUR duty to let them do their job.

With the effects of humans and our activity, we are slowly destroying not only our environment but others too. Climate change especially is rapidly changing our earth and there isn’t enough time for some species to adapt. We need to have laws to make sure we are nurturing all species.

Minister,

Australia has the worst record in the world for species extinction and endangerment!!

Please, sir, would all you peoples’ representatives get your fingers out of your butts and start protecting our environment; fauna and flora!!

The inaction of successive governments has led to a huge increase in the loss of habitat; consequently leading to wildlife stress and death.

Economic growth cannot come at the expense of destruction of our environment!!

DO SOMETHING !!!

Australia MUST start to CARE about its own animals.
We have glibly allowed the extinction of more indigenous animals in the last fifty years than any of country in the world.

The little Numbat in Queensland can and will save millions of dollars for the government and people if allowed to live and thrive!
The Numbat lives eating termites.
The termites live eating Queensland houses.
The solution is so simple – save the Numbat and save your homes.
Do not let the Australian Numbats disappear into extinction with the multitude of other Australian species we will never see again!
