Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_LargetoothSawfish.jpg

Largetooth sawfish are some of the world’s rarest and most endangered fish.

They use their sensitive snouts to detect the heartbeats of their prey. Baby sawfish are called pups – they have special gel over their sharp saws to protect their mums while they’re being born!

But these prehistoric fish are tangled up in modern-day environmental damage, and now they’re critically endangered.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

I want future generations to know these amazing creatures first hand not from a book or video. Please take action to protect their habitat otherwise we will lose them forever.

We need laws that will stop companies destroying these Largetooth Sawfish’s habitat. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will give these creatures a voice. Soon it will be too late and you will have been part of the destruction of these magnificent creatures. Take a stand, do the right thing. Please…..you have the power to do this.

The environment is threatened like never before and all critters have an important role in the chain that allows us to be sustainable
If an organism is threatened with extinction it is an indicator of an unhealthy environment that will hurt our and future generations chances to enjoy life on earth
Please do all that you can to protect the environment against those who would put short term financial gain first.

For the protection of our rapidly diminishing native animals, stronger laws MUST be enforced lest we lose the lot

Thankyou for protecting these unique creatures.
Thankyou for stopping international (& local) fisheries from trawling where the largetooth sawfish inhabit.

Getting all fishing people and businesses to be responsible about discarded nets, lines , burley and rubbish.
Remind them of the o.d adage about not defecating in our backyard, or the planet’s!

Every species plays it’s part in maintaining a balanced environment. Losing species to habitat destruction can be avoided with clear thought and intelligent policies.

Honour Leigh: It is the responsibility of governments to protect our wildlife from human activity that is destroying biodiversity wholesale. If we keep up the destruction of habitats and species that is presently happening we are in for a rude shock in the near future.

Dear Member of Parliament,
Please do the right thing. We need you to create laws that protect the environment, and not support practices that destroy it.
Respectfully,
