Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_LargetoothSawfish.jpg

Largetooth sawfish are some of the world’s rarest and most endangered fish.

They use their sensitive snouts to detect the heartbeats of their prey. Baby sawfish are called pups – they have special gel over their sharp saws to protect their mums while they’re being born!

But these prehistoric fish are tangled up in modern-day environmental damage, and now they’re critically endangered.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

If we don’t act now, we won’t have these wonderful creatures in the future. Everything has it’s place in the tree of life. Help make sure we keep the balance.

Unless stronger environmental laws are introduced my grandchildren won’t see our beautiful native creatures.

If laws are not brought in to stop the distruction of habitat.. everyone looses

We need to look after our environment and all who share it. Our wildlife is unique and it would be criminal to allow it to become extinct. They have no voice in parliament, so it is up to our elected members to fight for them

We must not destroy because we can. Our oceans are not just an opportunity for profit, a resource. They are part of our life support system and the creatures within have the right to live there.

You have a responsibility to all generations, not just this one

We need stronger environment laws to protect Australian native species. They support the health and essential growth of our environment whilst helping to combat human destruction. They bring joy to people. Whilst we become overpopulated and YOU continue to squeeze people into tiny areas you are destroying the habitat of our native species. Australia’s records are apalling and need to be changed.

We need biodiversity in our oceans, we need to not tip the scales against us, we are all interlinked, as people used to say, heed our warnings, tomorrow is too late!

Plastic and net fishing are killing our ocean. If the ocean species die out, species domina e changes will lead to molecular changes which will impact land food production, weather, air quality and ultimately us.

Please stop allowing these beautiful creatures to disappear.
Please stop protecting modern-day environmental damage and the associated profits.
Please stop and think that when these creatures have gone it will be forever and future generations don’t deserve this!
