Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

CEO Joe Kasaer,
Please change your bad decision. There are equivalent profits to be made supporting modern clean industries. Leave dirty old coal alone.

Dear Mr Kaeser,
I am an Australian citizen deeply concerned for the future welfare of the the planet and my country of Australia in particular. The climate crisis is real and observable for us in Australia, as you must know, with the unprecedented bushfires destroying our environment and wildlife, as well as causing many human deaths.
We cannot afford to continue coal-mining and coal usage on this planet. It is as simple as that. I urge you and your company to abandon the proposed contract with Adani for the good of the world environment. This coal project definitely should not go ahead. I urge you as a global citizen and Siemens to abandon this project for the good of future generations.

Yours sincerely,
Ken Harper

As a company respected in the medical field I hope you can also work towards the common good for future generations in not associating with the establishment of the Adani Coal mine in Queensland .

The holocaust-style death and destruction of land, climate and life in Australia will not be tolerated. Criminal negligence is being considered by Sydney barristers.

Dear Mr Käser,
I live in Australia and this can’t go on. Coal mining and burning of fossil fuel needs to come to an end. Have you been to Australia? It is the most unique continent with an amazing ecosystem. Now it is on fire.
Do you have children? What do you tell them what you are doing for work?
Coal is easy money but it is better to go the hard way and make the future green.
Thank you Joe.

Dear Mr Kaeser,
I am concerned that your company is complicit in the climate crisis by willingly helping Adani build its mine at a time when Australia is burning and in the worst drought in living history. This will both harm your reputation and make the current crisis worse. Please rethink your involvement with Adani.

That in the face of the bushfire crisis it is clear that the future of the coal industry is dead and its impacts on water utilization, pollution and endangering wildlife species will be detrimental.

Siemens has a dream to ‘make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable’ : does not fit well with enabling a huge, obsolete coalmine right on Australia’s biggest water source in the middle of a crippling drought while the whole of Australia’s coastline chokes on smoke.

I have read your statement which does not address in any shape or form what give you the right to be complicit in the destruction and/or degradation of the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and the Galilee Basin. It is planet earth that sustains us and you would be wise to remember this.

I’m writing to you as a mother and Australian citizen, imploring you to make the right decision and dump Adani. Please don’t allow Siemens to aid the disastrous Adani mine. I live in far North Queensland and we don’t want this mine. It will destroy the Great Barrier Reef and severely threatens our children’s right to a safe future.
Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. Please don’t stand on the wrong side of history. What will your legacy be?

Please please for the sake of our kids, don’t support the Adani mine!
Australia is burning please don’t fuel the fire.

Siemans website statement on sustainability and supporting the Paris climate agreement is such blatant greenwashing in light of your company’s recent contract to build infrastructure for Adani’s climate bomb. Seimans needs to pull out of this project or forever be labelled a climate vandal!

Siemens Australia is known as an industry leader.
The term “leader” is both a noun and a verb. It simultaneously means that you ARE something and that you DO something.
Therefore, I write to ask that you demonstrate same, “leading  by example” when contemplating your continuing support for Adani’s mine in the Galilee Basin of Queensland :- one of the world’s largest proposed coal mining expansions.
Digging and burning coal is the biggest driver of climate damage: bushfires, drought and heatwaves becoming commonplace, Australians are feeling the effects daily. Are you sure you want to be complicit in environmental damage by aiding Adani?

Is this the legacy you wish to have associated with your role, decisions and corporation?

Our native flora, fauna and natural habitats are at crisis point. I’m relying on you  to DO something – it’s for our country’s future and the planet’s survival.

Yours sincerely,
Debi McLean
