Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_SouthernCorroboreeFrog.jpg

Teeny tiny southern corroboree frogs live in a small mountainous patch of Kosciuszko National Park. They ooze poison from their striking skin and hibernate in logs, bark and leaf litter in winter.

But habitat destruction, climate damage, bushfires and a devastating frog fungus mean there are probably less than 100 left in the wild.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Please stop allowing these beautiful creatures to disappear.
Please stop protecting developers and profits.
Please stop and think that when these creatures have gone it will be forever and future generations don’t deserve this!

I want future generations to know these beautiful creatures first hand not from a book or video. Please take action to protect their habitat otherwise we will lose them forever.

We need laws that will stop companies destroying these Southern Corroboree Frog’s habitat. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will give these creatures a voice. Soon it will be too late and you will have been part of the destruction of these magnificent creatures. Take a stand, do the right thing. Please…..you have the power to do this.

Australia’s record on species extinction continues at an appalling pace.
We need stronger environmental laws to protect our wildlife. I was shocked to hear there are less that 100 of these beautiful creatures left in the wild.

Homelessness is a threat to all living creatures. For wildlife we call it habitat loss and, once gone there is no welfare system to look after the needs of birds, frogs, gliders and other creatures. It is imperative that we don’t destroy their homes.

You can make a difference and ensure that vulnerable species and the environment in which they live in is protected. I urge you to take action now and raise this with your party leader.

It will be too late to do anything once we lose these precious creatures. We need to act now to protect our animals. Don’t add yourself to the list of those that don’t care about our earth and its inhabitants.

It’s about time anthropocentric politicians came down from their perch and realised, it’s not about you! There is a myriad of flora and fauna that is in crisis, is far more interesting than you and requires your action to protect it.
