Teeny tiny southern corroboree frogs live in a small mountainous patch of Kosciuszko National Park. They ooze poison from their striking skin and hibernate in logs, bark and leaf litter in winter.
But habitat destruction, climate damage, bushfires and a devastating frog fungus mean there are probably less than 100 left in the wild.
Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.
Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Please do something to help the Southern Corroboree Frog from becoming extinct before it is too late.
We need stronger environmental laws because once they’re gone they’re gone
Many creatures are heading towards extinction and I am personally very worried and so should you.
Some may be loud and colourful, others small and quiet – but in all corners of this beautiful land, there are creatures with extraordinary stories.
Like palm cockatoos from Cape York – gigantic parrots with rosy cheeks who make drumsticks from branches and seed pods and beat their own rhythms to woo a lover.
And numbat families with long sticky tongues who eat 20,000 termites, each and every single day.
And shy legless lizards who once lived in grasslands all over eastern Australia, yet can’t outrun (or out-slither) the destruction of their habitat.
But right now, these incredible creatures – nearly two thousand different species – are at risk of extinction.
That’s because logging companies are razing their forests. Oil and gas corporations are deafening their families with seismic blasting. Coal barons are cooking our climate and defrosting their icy mountain-top homes.
Like us, these creatures and their families are part of our fragile web of life. Break that web and everything unravels.
Rosy cheeked cockies, fluffy numbat babies and shy legless lizards can’t go to Parliament House to demand protection. So it’s up to us to speak out for them.
Please act to save them and us.
To protect our flora and fauna for our younger generations and for the health of the world and everything that lives on its beautiful landscape.
Australia has lost so much in the variety of wildlife during the last 100 years. It is time to STOP logging in anything except plantations. As well as saving the habitat of many things, we need these trees to help absorb the increasing which we humans are causing.
Please THINK, study, and act for the world my grandchildren will imhabit
Thank you. Joy walter.
We need stronger environment laws because no amount of money is worth a living beings life.
Australia is leading the world in numbers of extinctions, is this really the example we want to show to other nations. Please fight for our environment it does really matter
Dear decision maker,
Because the web of life is just that, every little creature going missing is a big loss for those around it. The consequences are snow balling.
Please support more effective environmental protection.
We need stronger environmental laws because we know the devastation it causes on our air, water and land.
Once a species is extinct, we can’t get it back!!

To protect our unique alpine flora and fauna
I am an animal lover who cares deeply about the fate of all animals, and don’t want any of our native fauna to go extinct.
Our laws have failed to protect the Reef and prevent mass extinction. We need laws to stem the tide of destruction.
We have some of the most incredible animals in the world living in Australia.! Let’s be proud of them and protect them!!
Frogs help regulate our enviroment and without your help in the big seat we can’t do much to help save this gorgeous yellow and black groggy :(
We need laws that will stop companies destroying precious creatures’ habitats. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will help start the recovery of the Environment. Laws that will give these creatures a voice!
Apparently Australia has the highest rates of extinction in the world. Considering we have a very small population in comparison to most other Western Countries this says we are among the most destructive. This is utterly unacceptable. I am so ashamed to live in a Country that allows this to happen. As my Representative I expect real action to be taken with strong laws to protect our wildlife and the ecosystems we all rely on.
We need urgent action to protect the environment and to stop the extinction of native plants and animals. Biodiversity is crucial for our planet’s survival. Our children and their children deserve a healthy planet!
