Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_SouthernCorroboreeFrog.jpg

Teeny tiny southern corroboree frogs live in a small mountainous patch of Kosciuszko National Park. They ooze poison from their striking skin and hibernate in logs, bark and leaf litter in winter.

But habitat destruction, climate damage, bushfires and a devastating frog fungus mean there are probably less than 100 left in the wild.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Remember ‘web of life’? All organisms are interconnected and inter dependent. We must act swiftly to stop chronic devastating depletion of species – or we will join the critically endangered – before our great grandchildren come to life. We rely on you to ACT NOW to save our endangered creatures.

With so few native frogs identified before extinction we can’t allow the demise of any we do know about…

I knew these animals from my backyard when I was a child. I haven’t seen them for 40y.

I’m rapidly becoming exhausted with nearly 50 years spent trying to save our native wildlife from extinction. And, still today they keep on dying because our state and federal governments don’t do everything they can to save them.
What’s going to be left for my grandchildren? We need the strongest environmental laws to protect the places and creatures we love.

I care about all animals. Extinction is avoidable and unforgivable

There will be nothing left for the further generations. We cannot allow the demise of so many species. We have to act and cadre.

Thank you

You need to make sure the NSW Parliament does not pass legislation to preserve horses in Kosciuszko NP – this will mean certain death for these frogs. The most humane way to remove horses is to aerial cull – not just my view but what the RSPCA think…

We can’t lose any more species, please act to protect.

We have trusted you to look after our defence and economy, oh but don’t forget you are also supposed to do your share to look after the environment. This frog’s existence is also your responsibility.
Don’t stuff it up.

As humans I find it horrifying that we are the reason behind animal extinction, it must stop now or a generation as close as my children’s won’t even know that these animals existed!

Imagine a world without this incredible creature?! I love Australia’s quirky and beautiful animals, and hope one day that I can giggle at them, watch them and enjoy them with my kids! Stronger nature laws are needed now. Stand up and represent me and what matters!

We must urgently protect Australian creatures from extinction. Please raise the issue with your party leader and advocate for new environment laws to genuinely protect our wildlife and the places we love.
