Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_web_SouthernCorroboreeFrog.jpg

Teeny tiny southern corroboree frogs live in a small mountainous patch of Kosciuszko National Park. They ooze poison from their striking skin and hibernate in logs, bark and leaf litter in winter.

But habitat destruction, climate damage, bushfires and a devastating frog fungus mean there are probably less than 100 left in the wild.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

Australia is leading the world in numbers of extinctions. What a disgrace! We need strong national environmental laws and action on this should be coming from all our elected representatives. Please ask your party to fight for our environment – it really does matter.

There is a balance in nature which humans do not yet understand fully, regardless of scientific advances. Each life form works with others to perform functions within a closed loop cycle that benefits all. That balance is delicate, and humanity has already taken away habitat which supports it. Please protect our endangered species, for you will be protecting all species – including humans.

In my lifetime I have never seen or heard of expanding or thriving biodiversity. The only reports about our natural environment in Australia and the World are about environmental destruction at the expense of human activity. Only recently the Brumbies in Kosciuszko were once again allowed to roam in environments that have not evolved to cope with hooved animals, please save the Corroboree frog in the Kosciuszko National Park.

Australia is losing its flora and fauna at an alarming rate. This is NOT acceptable.
Please help make a difference to protect our wildlife by creating sanctuaries free from mining and felling of trees.
We really need strong environmental laws in place.

We need laws that will stop companies destroying the precious creatures habitats. Laws that will compel decision makers to make decisions that help, not harm, our living world. Laws that will give these creatures a voice.

Frogs are at the bottom end of the food chain, yet they are crucial. They eat mosquito larvae, they keep ponds, creeks and streams clean. They are are a joy to hear, you know that things are healthy when frogs are about.
Thankyou for taking action to protect and preserve these animals. It is important not to breakdown the cycle of life by killing flora and fauna.

Thankyou for protecting our beautiful country, and planet.

Dude this is why we elect you guys! Please put in place stronger laws to protect these unique frogs and put pressure on the Environment Minister in NSW to Shoot or remove those feral four legged useless manure makers [brumbies] from all alpine areas and National Park areas.
Thanks Bruce Clarke

The environment is a life support- not only for humans but for all the creatures dependant on it. They depend on humans for their existence now – so please don’t play god with their lives. Give them a chance to continue existing on the planet.

Please tell your party leader to take leadership and enact new national environment laws to protect wildlife by safeguarding their habitat. Their are less than 100 Southern Corroboree Frogs left in the wild. We need you and your team to be proud supporters of wildlife.

Sincerely
