Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

It’s not only about protecting the reef it’s about government support for the dying fossil fuel industry.

Please do not approve one single more coal mine. At least give our children a chance to survive a world that is going to be very harsh on them already, don’t go down in history as the man and government that made it worse for them.

Samantha Staff : I do not understand this madness. The GBR, one of the Earths natural wonders, home to so many beautiful animals, a Major tourist destination, and our current politicians want to Murder it, Australia is already in the spotlight as a Global Disgrace with it’s detention centres, why are we not setting the example? Australia, so Wonderful, but a few greedy Capitalist Morons want to turn this continent into a freaking dumpster truck. Hang your heads in Shame.

For thirty years I live off grid, only to see the deranged death worshippers in government and industry go backwards in evolution!

Come on, really? The science has been in for decades now, the finances don’t even make sense in a world where coal is clearly on the way out. On what basis would this destructive mine be approved? It certainly isn’t in the Australian peoples best interests, or the GBR as a whole or the natural environment or the fishers or the tourism operators or the animals or the planet or the……..
