Climate damage is here now yet billionaire polluters are lining up to dig and burn more coal. Coal corporation Adani want to dig one of the world’s biggest coal mines in Queensland.

But people don't want this mine. If the mine goes ahead it would create billions of tonnes of pollution, wreck our climate and spell the end for our Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Conservation Foundation community challenged the federal government's approval of the mine in court. But our laws can’t stop the government from approving Australia’s biggest coal mine, even as the reef dies before our eyes.

Governments have a responsibility to create a future where our reef, communities and wildlife all thrive.

Federal Environment Minister, Melissa Price has the power to stop this mine. And our future depends on it. It's critical she hears from everyone who cares that we want our beautiful reef, not more polluting coal.

Sign the petition to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Melissa Price to:

Reject Adani’s Carmichael coal mine and create strong new laws to protect our Great Barrier Reef.

It’s madness to approve new coal mines in the face of overwhelming evidence of climate change, especially when there are green alternatives for energy production, if countries in Europe can progress to renewable energy, why can’t Australia ?

Investing in old coal is already a stupid idea, but investing in a company that destroys OUR reef is criminal.

It is vital for the good of the reef and for the good of Australia this horrible Adini mine does not go ahead. We do not want it, we do not want the destruction to our beautiful land that it will cause. These foreign companies do not give a darn about our beautiful country. No mine!

What a disgrace that we let some foreign company come in and destroy what has existed for millions of years – just for money & greed – disgusting and shame on you!!!

Isnt it about time we started caring for this environment. We live in such a beautiful place and how many people are going to gain from this…..Absolutely NONE, even if you gave us all a million bucks, we would still be forfeiting the money for the beauty that is Australia, that is The great Barrier Reef….Stop this maddness now, before its too late
