To our elected representatives,
We call on you to work together to get big money out of our political system and put people back in.
This means:
- Banning large donations to political parties and candidates.
- Increasing the transparency of political donations, including real time reporting of donations.
- Limiting expenditure at election times so corporations can’t use their oversized wallets to drown out our voices.
- Creating an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
- Stronger lobbying regulation and greater transparency so we know who’s meeting with our elected representatives and why.

Money donations to politicians is equal to bribery. Politics is one of the three pillars in our democracy that should be free of any influence of third parties that could have or has an interest in who is leading the country.
Political donations – Just bribes under another name. Wish they could be banned but at the very least transparency is a must.
We must end this hidden undue influence on elections.
Clearly money has but Government in 2019 and several other recent years.
Real time disclosure, limit amount to $5000 and not allow aggregation.
It’s time to clean up our democracy – cap political donations by corporations to curb unfair influence. Report donations as they happen so we are all informed. Create an independent watchdog to investigate and stamp out corruption.
