URGENT: One billion dollars in public funding could be used to prop up Adani's giant polluting coal mine!
PM Malcolm Turnbull appears to be preparing to give multinational mining company Adani $1 billion of public money to fund a coal-carting railway line from the Galilee Basin to the Great Barrier Reef coast.
Media reports say the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) funds are earmarked for the project.
During the election, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said – on camera – that there would be no public funding for Adani's mine.
We are holding him to that promise. And we don’t want this mega-polluting coal mine.
Billionaire polluter Gautam Adani has met the Prime Minister recently.
When Mr Adani puts on the hard word, we need Malcolm Turnbull to know – we won't accept giving a billion dollars of public funding to a billionaire's company creating billions of tonnes of pollution.
Mr Adani has a mining licence, but he has no social licence.
Sign the petition calling on Malcolm Turnbull to put Adani's requests for publicly-funded subsidies in the bin.
Together, let's call for our money to be invested in clean energy, not wrecking the Great Barrier Reef.
Prime Minister Turnbull, during the election you said there would be no public funding for Adani. Adani's Reef-killing coal mine is not public infrastructure. Don’t waste public money on it.

Stop selling our soul to China for a quick buck. Start manufacturing in Australia again.
Please do not provide public funds to support this infrastructure. A good business model should not rely on public funds to move forward. If the mine must move forward (and there has been no proof as to the reasoning why this mine is being allowed to move forward) let Adani pay for the rail and infrastructure and charge them rent on the land for the privilege. Also please do not allow all of the hateful rhetoric that has been mentioned in this petition to sway you from the real issue – which is that Adani unfortunately has a very poor environmental record – Australians and the World love the reef. It would be nice to be there for future generations.
Stop raping our beautiful MOTHER EARTH!!
politicians are void of empathy!!
We the people will be the one’s to fix this!!

The barrier reef is the last great wilderness. Please done pay mine monguls to destroy it on a energy source thats gone out of fashion
Disgraceful disregard of Australia’s future!
Not only don’t I think that a mine being built in the visinity of the reef is a horrible ecological choice, but I also don’t think the government should be paying for these big companies to set up there. The money could be better spent on national debt, education and training for Australians . Let the big mine companies pay for there own infrastructure.
Malcolm Turnbull you are the Australian Prime Minister . You should not be brokering deals for YOU future .
There has to be a better way of growing the economy. You are wasting our resources. Both natural and economically. You are a bed priminister with a money grabbing group of pension seeking no hopers.
No place fora Dani on the reef
A world without reef’s will lead for our defeat.
Save our country and our waters
Leave the poison in the ground the reef can’t handle the dust and shipping polution. Just visit Mackays beaches and see how coal contaminated they are, and that before it gets to India to be burnt to fill the air with poison particals and the dust settles on their shores.
Mr Turnbull are you crazy?
It is so sad that you government body’s don’t listen to the people. Look i n our own backyard and save our land and wildlife from being destroyed from your hands. We need more money in hospitals, police, schools, ambulance, dentist, fire brigade. We don’t need more gays to come out in public because I don’t like going shopping and seeing gays kissing and holding hands in the public in front of the children. The children of today are going to be so mixed up in the head from governments stupidity. Children when there young are trying to just lean what’s right and what’s wrong. Clean Australia up spend our money on our country and make it right your sincerely Alma Searle
