To the Queensland government,
From droughts to bushfires, Queenslanders are living with the impacts of climate damage here and now.
Queensland can be a leader in clean energy. We could be powering our homes, our towns and our economy with good energy and new jobs, powered by the wind and the sun.
If Queenslanders own our clean energy, we can create thousands of jobs we can be proud of and bring down power prices.
We are calling on you to make public investment in big renewable projects a priority, and act now to:
- Get on with climate action: set stronger pollution reduction targets, and rapidly replace coal-fired power with clean energy
- Build publicly-owned renewables, starting construction of at least one large project by mid-2020.
- Plan and fund a fair transition for workers in the energy sector.
Let's get on with it!

It takes courage to create change. The people of Queensland have the courage. It’s time our government followed suit. We can’t live in past centuries forever.
Wouldn’t it be good to have Solar panels and Rainwater Tanks as a must for every new building in our Australian building standards. The sizes of each plant could be determined in accordance with the size of the building. This would help a lot with our water and power shortages and cost only a small percentage of the whole building.
It is time . Rivers and dams are drying up towns running out of water. Extinction crisis is real.
Climate change is real. Plastic bottled water should be banned.
Please get a move on and spend heaps on development of renewable energy. Revoke Adanis water license and get them out of Australia and prohibit any more coal and gas production
