To the Queensland government,
From droughts to bushfires, Queenslanders are living with the impacts of climate damage here and now.
Queensland can be a leader in clean energy. We could be powering our homes, our towns and our economy with good energy and new jobs, powered by the wind and the sun.
If Queenslanders own our clean energy, we can create thousands of jobs we can be proud of and bring down power prices.
We are calling on you to make public investment in big renewable projects a priority, and act now to:
- Get on with climate action: set stronger pollution reduction targets, and rapidly replace coal-fired power with clean energy
- Build publicly-owned renewables, starting construction of at least one large project by mid-2020.
- Plan and fund a fair transition for workers in the energy sector.

It is not something that needs to be justified. Unlike the enabling of Adani beginning their destruction of the environment.
Excuses are no longer viable…
Delays are no longer acceptable…
Denial is no longer an option….
For the good of all living plants and animals we MUST stop our polluting carnage.
All humanity is responsible for these changes and the majority world wide are showing they can and will make lifestyle changes for the better of our planet. Its time govt’s started to implement the legislation needed and stop backing the high end polutors. If this summer in Australia hasn’t been enough to scare people then I don’t know what will….
I’m scared and worried and trying hard to reduce my personal imprint.
So all you politicians out there, don’t underestimate “people power”.
The Starship Enterprise doesnt run on coal
we have six panels so doing okay soon seven more will be better would say.
There are sustainable jobs to be had, rather than the fiction from the minerals council.
Act now before it’s too late.
We also need to get rid of our politicians who are too close to coal and fossil fuels
Time to care about the future our kids will face.
