This is not a game. ANZ has a climate problem.
Due to increasing heatwaves, the Open and other matches are at risk of cancellation, our champions and fans at risk of heatstroke.
They need to hear from you that you want to see ANZ shift the billions of dollars they are responsible for out of burning and digging fossil fuels and into solutions that will protect us from droughts, floods and heatwaves.

- divesting from thermal coal by 2030 or earlier;
- divesting from oil & gas in line with the Paris climate agreement;
- not investing in new or expansion coal, gas & oil projects.
Burning fossil fuels is the biggest driver of climate damage. We are concerned about the climate crisis and want action."

My family has been ANZ shareholders for more than six decades. With the crisis of climate change set to grow with continued use of fossil fuels, our younger generation will be in crisis mode more frequently than our generation, and will not invest in institutions which caused the crisis. They will be too poor, and rightfully angry at corporations which supported the collapse of our environment. Stop financing fossil fuels – for the sake of all our children.
Divest now or you will be left behind damaging our planet for us an future generations.
As a shareholder I urge ANZ to stop continuing to finance the digging and burning of fossil fuels which are contributing to the planet’s climate crisis .

You are NOT displaying good corporate citizenship to our youth, who may I remind you ARE YOUR FUTURE CUSTOMERS don’t think so!
Sad to learn ANZ executives don’t give a toss about the planet’s future, only profits and bonuses. Time to change banks.
It sounds like ANZ is just like Dodgy Morrison, all spin and no action. Let’s hope all your bad policy based on greed alone results in a bad image for your bank and as a bonus, bad debts as the coal market collapses!
Or, you could do the right thing and perhaps sleep well at night, and perhaps your kids can inherit a world worth living in.
ANZ please stop treating your responsibility in Climate Change as something you can PR your way out of. You are also sabotaging your brand, any previous worthwhile achievements, your future opportunities to influence the World’s future paths, leaving your staff and organisation/s as mistrusted pariahs , powerless to change their future. Only your present ‘management’ can change your path before they are replaced with those who will avert this self-destruction. I hope you will, for your, your family and organisations and our and the environment of our only realistically available planet’s survival and future.
