About the award

Peter Rawlinson helped many to tackle urgent environmental problems. This award honours his life's work and is given annually to an individual or group that has made an exceptional voluntary contribution to protecting Australia's natural environment at a grassroots level.

Winners receive a $3,000 prize and are chosen based on the significance of the issues addressed, the outcomes achieved and challenges overcome.

Eligibility

Individuals or groups (excluding ACF staff and Councillors) can be nominated for their voluntary achievements at a local or national level. 

How to apply

  • Please complete the nomination form and supply the name of two supporting referees
  • Please ask referees to submit a referee form

Closing date

Please submit your nomination form by 5pm (AEST) Monday 4 September 2023.
