IMAGE (Inner Melbourne Action Group for the Environment) would like to invite you to a community screening and discussion of Guarding the Galilee documentary film.
Filled with stories from the front lines of the proposed Adani coal mine, Guarding the Galilee captures the raw beauty of the Queensland outback, where Adani's mine threatens essential water resources, and so much more. Presented by Queensland born actor Michael Caton, Guarding the Galilee is a 30 minute documentary on the battle to stop the biggest coal mine in Australian history, Adani’s Carmichael project.
After the film screening, we will share our strategy for Stop Adani campaign and discuss specific actions which all of us can take to make a difference.
Doors will open at 4:00 for a 4:15 pm start
Who are we? IMAGE for the future is a group of local volunteers dedicated to raising community awareness and building people power so that we not only stop Adani but also send a strong message to our leaders. No coal, only clean energy – that's our image for the future. We formed just over a month ago, and operate under the guidance of the Australian Conservation Foundation. We would welcome more members!
The event will be hosted in a hall on the ground floor at 60L Green Building which is located at 60 Leicester Street, Carlton, VIC - 3053. It is close to Queen VIC market, making it quite accessible through public transport.
Please bring along your family and friends too – let's be the change we want to see!
ACF Community IMAGE is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community.
