You’re invited to the 2022 Nature Summit in Canberra. An opportunity to restore yourself and your group, connect with other members of the ACF community, and help plan a campaign strategy to protect nature.

WHAT: 2022 Nature Summit Canberra
WHEN: 8.30am-5pm, Saturday 18th June (with an optional nature activity on Sunday 19th June)
WHERE: Canberra Conservation Council, 14/26 Barry Dr, Canberra ACT 2601. However, we will meet for an optional breakfast as well as a Welcome to Country at Turner Parkland, opposite the Methodist Church. There will be travel and dial-in options available for participants outside of these cities- we will be in touch with you if you’re keen to come.

You will get a chance to:

  • Connect with nature and with one another;
  • Hear about why nature needs us now from the University of Queensland’s Professor of Conservation Science, James Watson;
  • Hear the latest on the nature campaign from National Nature Campaigner, Jess Abrahams;
  • Learn about some exciting pilot nature activities some of you have been running at ACF;
  • Make a plan with your group to grow the movement for nature and develop a plan to protect nature locally.

We want to make this event as accessible as possible. If you have any accessibility needs that will help you participate more fully, please let us know!

We will also be hosting a fun and engaging nature activity on Sunday the 19th of June. This day is optional, but it will be a great opportunity to see how getting out into nature can build closeness, connection and engagement in your groups. RSVP for the nature activity here!
