Connecting with your elected representative: effective MP meetings

Join the Community and Mobilisation team for a training session on how to have powerful and effective meetings with your Member of Parliament.

In the training we will cover:

• Four top tips for getting in that office door: ever wondered how to go about organising an MP meeting? We’ll talk you through how to request – and lock in – a meeting with your local representative. 
• What to say when you’re there: we’ll offer a structure for how to run your meeting, handy talking points, and help you position yourself in the most powerful way to influence your MP.
• Insights from an ACF Community group member: hear from local ACF Community group members about their experience meeting with their own MP and their reflections on how to shape an impactful meeting.
• Why these meetings are powerful: ACF Government and Business Relations Manager Deborah Nesbitt will join us to share insights on just how important constituent meetings are when it comes to influencing politicians.

This is an opportunity to build your confidence and conversation skills so that you can advocate for the issues that matter to all of us. 

There will also be plenty of time to ask questions and connect with others in the ACF community.
