Kick-Off Meeting - ACF Community Hobart

ACF is powering up our community group in Hobart!

ACF community groups around Australia advocate against pollution and destruction of our ‘big back yard’, and for our living world. These groups are aligned with ACF’s National Campaign Priorities.

I’m Martyn, one of the co-conveners here in Hobart, why am I here? I like working with ours who have the earnest wish to protect the environment we have here in Tasmania and around Australia. When we join together we are so much more effective.

Members of ACF Community groups work together to support each other, engage the local community, and advocate to our elected representatives.

We’d love you to join with other ACF supporters in southern Tasmania as we stand up for the environment we love. 

As this is the first meeting of the year, we will be looking to introduce the ACF Community Principles and agree on what we do and how we work together. We will plan a calendar for the year including training and campaigning, walks in ‘our big back yard’, and informative lectures. Also, Hobart is currently the only ACF Community group in Tasmania and we are also looking for your ideas on ways to reach out to other ACF members around Tasmania.

ACF Community Groups are friendly and informal. We look forward to seeing you on 26 February 2023.
