BOOKED OUT!

The ACF Northern Beaches Community Group and the Society for Responsible Design are excited to invite you to a free screening of two short documentaries – Regenerating Australia and A Fistful of Rubbish.

Join us for a drink and supper as we watch and discuss these two short films which explore Australia’s potential if we transition to a fairer, cleaner, more community focused economy, and our relationship with natural environments. We'll start the evening with an introduction from ACF Northern Beaches and the Society for Responsible Design, and after the screening we'll have a Q+A discussion about the issues raised.

The documentaries

Regenerating Australia is a new short documentary film by award-winning filmmaker Damon Gameau (2040, That Sugar Film). Featuring Kerry O’Brien, Sandra Sully, Tim Flannery, Larissa Behrendt, David Pocock and other well-known voices, the film is based on a four-month ‘listening campaign’ with a diverse group of Australians who shared their hopes and dreams for the country’s future.

It is a new story for our nation: a story of empowerment. A story of solutions. A story of regeneration.

A Fistful of Rubbish is an environmental short documentary set in Europe's only desert - the Tabernas Desert in Spain. An area known for being the backdrop of many famous Western films, it is sadly being trashed. This film follows a group of locals and an English expat in their quest to clean it up.
