Oil and gas giant Woodside Petroleum plans to dump a 2,529-tonne rusty steel mooring full of plastics and toxic elements next to our beloved Ningaloo Reef.

This reef is on many of our bucket lists. Between diving with iconic whale sharks and turtles, snorkelling through coral gardens, and the turquoise waters of Australia’s Coral Coast, it’s hard to beat.

Email Environment Minister Sussan Ley and call on her to reject Woodside’s application to dump this toxic waste.

We’ve written the email for you, so all you have to do is hit send – but for added impact you can personalise it with your own motivation for protecting the reef.

Australia has been a global leader on ocean protection. It’s something Australians are proud of. We wouldn’t accept this at the Great Barrier Reef, or our local beach – we can’t allow it at Ningaloo. Help keep this pristine wonderland a safe haven for all the marine life that call it home.

Want to understand more about the threat to Ningaloo Reef before sending your email? Take a read of our info page and then send your email to Minister Ley!
