The ACF community is a powerful force for nature – over 400,000 people who care about our living world. Every day, all across Australia, legends are stepping up and speaking out for a world where communities and wildlife thrive. And we think that’s worth celebrating.

That’s why we’re bringing the ACF community together for an afternoon of inspiring stories, persuasive discussions, music and more. Will you come?

When: Saturday June 24, 12pm-3pm
Where: Footscray Community Arts Centre, 45 Moreland St Footscray, Melbourne
Lunch provided.

At Count Me In you will:

  • Hear from insightful leaders who will discuss the role of community action in transitioning Australia to clean energy. You'll meet social change-maker and musician Matt Wicking, chair of the board at Climate Action Network Australia, Victoria McKenzie-McHarg, ACF CEO Kelly O'Shanassy and Alison Rowe, CEO of Moreland Energy Foundation.

  • Learn how you can get involved in the nationwide #Repower campaign, to demand our elected leaders make a national plan to power Australia with clean energy from the wind and sun.
  • Children's author Ailsa Wild will be there to keep kids entertained with her much-loved stories. Her books Zobi and the Zoox, set in a single tiny coral polyp suffering in a warming ocean won a Puggle - children's choice category - in the Environment Award for Children's Literature in 2015.
  • Connect with other ACF supporters over lunch and enjoy beautiful, locally sourced food.

This is a free, family-friendly event open to all members of the ACF community. The Footscray Community Arts Centre has a beautiful outlook onto the Maribyrnong River, with space for kids to play. Come along and connect with like-minded people who care about our reefs, rivers, forests and communities.
