Update: Rainy Day Plan:

Hey everyone! The weather forecast for Sunday is not great, but we haven't given up on the hike yet!

If it does turn out to be too rainy, we'll head to Waterloo Bay Hotel nearby for a coffee and a chat to start planning future hikes and activities for the year.

We'll bring some dugong themed books and colouring sheets to keep the little ones amused.

Come along and join us for a chat and a coffee and meet some like minded people somewhere warm and dry.

....

You and your family are invited to join us for a special hike on Sunday 7 April.

What: Brisbane Parents Who Like to Hike Family hike at Wynnum Mangrove.
When: Sunday 7 April, 9am-12pm
Where: Elanora Park, 22 Saunders Pl, Wynnum QLD 4178 (Google maps directions)

Can you make it?

We'll have our three kids with us - aged 2, 11 and 13. Come join us!

We'll meet at Elanora Park and walk up to the Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk.

It's an easy, pram accessible 2.1-km loop trail.

Afterwards, stick around for morning tea and a chat. ☕🍪 We'll bring tea and coffee supplies - please bring a small plate of food to share.

We'll also have some themed books and colouring pages for the little ones.

Stick around to meet ACF Community Organiser Teila Watson, and hear about some ideas about how we can use our love of nature and hiking to help protect nature and push for a better future!

Family hike in Brisbane

We want to make our hikes welcoming and inclusive for all carers. No matter if this is your first hike, or fifth, here’s what you can expect.

  • All carers are welcome
    • We welcome all mums, dads, partners, step-parents, foster parents, carers and friends.
  • No family left behind
    • We know hiking with children can bring unique challenges. If you need to stop to change a nappy or to feed, no worries. We’ll stop and take a break.
  • Welcome circle introductions
    • Our hikes begin with a Welcome Circle, where we introduce ourselves and our families and set the intention for our time together.

Please RSVP on this page so we know how many people to expect.

See you on Sunday,

Emma and Matt
