This Saturday, join your local ACF Community group for family friendly tree planting in Carseldine and help us green Brisbane's suburbs.

There’s something for everyone at this family friendly event. Here’s what to expect:

When: Saturday 15 April from 9am - 12pm

This Carseldine Cooling our Community street tree planting event is being organised by Brisbane City Council and attending it is a great opportunity to help green Brisbane’s suburbs. Come along to be entertained, learn and help plant street and park trees to make the neighbourhood shadier and cooler.

Carseldine has been identified as having low shade cover and a population vulnerable to hot weather. This neighbourhood will greatly benefit from more street and park trees, providing footpath shading and improved community health and wellbeing.

Join ACF Community Brisbane Northside group members and other locals at the Cooling our Community Carseldine event to plant trees along local streets and help grow our urban forest.

Wear sturdy covered shoes, hat and sun protection, and bring along a refillable drink bottle. Street tree holes will be dug beforehand, all tools provided and Council will maintain the trees throughout their lives. As a thank you for participating on the day you will receive free native plants for your garden.
