The Northern Beaches ACF Community Group is running a regular Book Club to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds on all things climate change, nature, and our local environment.
With the release of the latest IPCC report, there’s a collective sense of urgency and helplessness. Our first book is Beyond Climate Grief by Jonica Newby who describes it as a book that “...provides guidance and emotional sustenance to help us face the uncertainties ahead. It reminds us of the love, beauty, and wonder in the world, even amidst disaster. And how we all have a touch of epic hero inside.” As individuals, there are lots of actions we can take to reduce our impact on the planet, but as a collective, we can work together and empower each other to create transformational change.
We live in a beautiful part of the world, and there are so many opportunities for us to take action in any way we can, and this Book Club will be a space where we can discover, explore and discuss new ideas and connect over something that affects us all.
When: Wednesday, 29 September 2021
Time: 7:30pm - 8:30pm
