Be a hero for nature; join Australia’s Biggest Bushwalk this May
There’s no denying it. We all need to touch more grass. Literally, metaphorically, desperately.
The world is a challenging place to exist in and with the news cycle feeling a little bit like a washing machine getting outside is more important than ever.
Luckily, we’ve got just the thing for you.
Registrations for Australia’s Biggest Bushwalk are officially open!
What is Australia's Biggest Bushwalk?
Australia’s Biggest Bushwalk is a nationwide challenge where everyday people are getting outside during the month of May to get our steps up and raise money for nature.
Thousands of people around Australia will be clocking up the kms, from your local hiking enthusiast to your mate who loves a yap and a stroll, to your elderly neighbour who enjoys ambling down to the local shop for the Sunday paper.
The best thing about Australia’s Biggest Bushwalk is that anyone can join, whether you’re walking solo or challenging your friends and family. Every step you take and every dollar your raise will help protect the wild places and wildlife we love.
The second best thing about the challenge is that everyone who registers before 30 April will go in the draw to win a Vamos e-bike valued at $5000!
Taking part is easy!

In 2025, participants walked over 34,000 kilometres – that’s the equivalent of nearly two laps around Australia!
Your fundraising will help protect threatened species
By joining the challenge, you will help us to:
Protect thousands of threatened species and ecosystems across the country.
Stop deforestation by exposing environmental crime, corruption and negligence. Our investigations team recently uncovered 90,000 hectares of threatened species habitat that had been bulldozed.
Advocate for stronger climate and nature policies.
If you’re not already sold, here’s a message from one of our previous participants, Vanda.
"Nature has given me so much – peace, purpose, and inspiration. This walk is my way of giving back and reconnecting with the land, with others, and with the hope that we can make a real difference,” says Vanda Cummins.
