The burgers we buy shouldn’t come at the expense of the nature we all rely on.
Every year, Hungry Jack’s sells 125 million beef patties in Australia. Any one of them could be linked to the reckless bulldozing and destruction of habitat, including the homes of iconic Aussies animals like the koala.
Hundreds of thousands of hectares of forests and woodlands - home to iconic animals like koalas – are bulldozed every year to make room to produce more beef. Hungry Jacks is currently the only big beef buyer in Australia who has yet to make a commitment to stop selling beef linked to deforestation.
We know that a better food system that supports nature and people is possible.
Pressure from customers and community members has already seen Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and McDonald’s commit to ridding their supply chain of deforestation. Most farmers in Australia know that working with and not against nature is the best path forward.
Major corporations like Hungry Jack’s cannot keep turning a blind eye to the ongoing destruction that is linked to their supply chains.
Sign our Open Letter to Hungry Jack’s calling on them to make a commitment to selling only deforestation-free beef.
